Bit of a gushing pointless really

This morning as my little dog was watching me for his next command, hunting out the cover I directed him into, turning and stopping on the whistle, then galloping back to me when called and walking beautifully at heel off the lead, I was thinking back to this time last year and the little nutter that I thought would never be off the lead!

He seems to have suddenly grown up in the last couple of weeks.

And his crate suddenly has become his favourite place in the world! He often takes himself off for a nap in there (despite the huge squishy bed he has in the sitting room!). Then yesterday I was getting changed to go out riding, went to put my boots on and suddenly realised I didn't have a little black and white shadow! He had taken himself to his crate and was sat inside waiting for his biscuit, he'd even managed to get the door open himself so he could go in it!

The howling and whining has stopped whilst we're out too, good job really as we are likely to have neighbours once we move!

I'm so proud of my little pup, and of all the turn-around cases of AAD, proof that hard work occasionally pays off

Yay, glad to hear it - I'll have had my own Reformed Character for two years next month, hard to believe.

Now, about his sister........

Well done for all your hard work, a lot of people might have given up long ago xxx

Oh he is still a hooligan

Just in a typical Spaniel way, rather than an extra 'special' feral child way!

He is also starting to be rather whiffy and is going to get a bath (read, tied up at the yard and washed with the hosepipe!) so no doubt will start plotting some revenge after that!

I struggle to remember life before Otto, I'm sure it was calmer and cleaner though

You too!

Although perhaps some would question my sanity for not...

Yay for mature sensible Otto (did i just say that?!) I'm hoping by the end of this summer i will be posting along similar lines about Snakey-B ..... I'm still gearing myself up to somehow get inside his tiny twisted mind and figure out what he's thinking!!!

I'm so pleased for you - it's the best feeling ever isn't it!!!! xx

Awww he is a good boy, isn't he? You've done a grand job with him. Otto has become one of my most favourite AAD dogs.

(Although I can't promise I won't make the same comment in the presence of any of the other Spangle owners.)
