Shes not been 'right' for a while so went in for blood tests.. shes very dehydrated and lost weight.
Bloody tests show a very low white blood cell count and we have to monitor for 4 weeks before having a second one which will be sent off to a specialist.

Vet gave her a shot of penicilin incase its viral but a week later and shes no better, eating very little and drinking little.

anyone got any experiences of this?

Hi, my labrador had a low red blood cell count at 9 months of age, and luckily for me it turned out to be a faulty machine.
However in the nail biting time waiting for the blood results sent away, the vet was suggesting an auto immune disease called Auto-immune Haemolytic Anaemia (AIHA). There are also other auto immune diseases, and most are treatable, and with AIHA most recover fully - some breeds are definitely more prone than others.
I really hope your pup is ok, and alongside ruling out luekemia etc maybe suggest this as an option to your vet.
