My little westie is poorly...
She came into my room last night crying so I let her stay in with me for a while, but she was very restless and her belly was gurgling a lot

So thought it best to see if she needed the toilet..
Anyway she went out at about half 5 in the morning and was urging, and did that a few times, just crying and trying to be sick but nothing actually is coming up.
Anyways, she is fast asleep now in her bed. She didnt even give me a little wag when I came down this morning, just laid there

Any suggestions, should we just leave her to be quiet in her bed and see how she gets on?
She hasnt eaten today, but went to the toilet twice yesterday that we know of. Poor little poppy

I would get her to the vet to be honest, you don't want to take a chance with a possible blockage. Far better to be on the safe side.

It has happened once before, when she was a puppy. The vets said to give her 24 hours so long as she is still drinking water and take her up then if she isnt passing anything through. So I guess I see if anything comes out the other end at all and if not ring them

I would get her to the vet, whatever it is is causing her distress and thats enough for me to be booking an appointment.

Oh, she does sound poorly - I would at least be speaking to someone at the vets for some advice, and probably making an appointment.

Hope its nothing serious and she is back to her normal self quickly.

I would speak to the vet as suggested, as rule of thumb, we do say if he dog is "bright in it's self", keep an eye on it, but your little doggi seems to be in discomfort/unhappy, so I would phone, she may jsut have a mild upset tummy, but it's best to speak to the vet, they will tell u what to keep an eye out for.

Thanks everybody, I spoke to the vets a little while ago, and they basically said the same as what happened last time...keep an eye on her but if no better by end of the day to bring her in.
Meanwhile, she starts chirping up, goes to the front door wagging her tail

So we went for a little walk see how she is, and she went to the toilet accompanied by a big *ahem* passing of wind, which startled her a bit!
