Two tests today - Intro C, and our first Prelim - 7.
The day started fabulously when we unloaded, went to tack up and realised I'd forgotten the girth :/ First time in 20 years!! Thankyou Alex who lent me hers!
He warmed up like a badly steering trolley, so I wasn't hopeful of good marks! But he seemed to switch on once the bell rang - unfortunately the free walk on a long rein was slightly let down by him stopping for a poo
but for the rest he went beautifully for 73% and a 10!!! for the second circle! And first place
Then our first ever Prelim. We don't really have much of a canter yet and I really wasn't sure we could maintain it all the way round the school, if we even got it in the first place... so first canter, struck off beautifully on the wrong leg. I decided not to try and correct him as at least we HAD canter, so we did drop marks there - but at least we cantered
Second canter was fine. I was genuinely surprised how forward and keen he was! An amazing 64% and 10th place!
So so proud of my little lad, who is the sweetest cob ever and always tries his hardest
