Went to Hastingwood on sunday, was such a beautiful day, we were both quite chilled and I didn't put any pressure on us for once just wanted to go out there and do our best.
Well boy did we, got 69.7% for the ele qualifier and 68.7 for the med qualifier and won both!! I could have cried, she was a little angel.
Have had quite a lot thrown at me the past few weeks and it felt sooooooooo good to have a great turn of luck!

That is one of the best posts I've read in ages, because I remember long ago when you were really struggling with her and debating whether to keep trying or not. I am really pleased to hear the hard work and blood sweat and tears have paid off!

Aaah that is really sweet. We have really had some ups and downs, at the beginning of the summer I was well and truly ready to throw in the towel she was so spooky and it was really getting me down. I gave us a time scale for improvement and really cracked on, I have realised most of it was me, I had to learn to ride her better, more around my leg and infront of my aids. Sure sometimes she is just being a stroppy moo but its a partnership at the end of the day, and I had to up my game. She wasn't an expensive purchase and was bred to jump but boy is she my horse of a lifetime, there have been MANY tears and a lot of pain (boy can she buck!) along the way but I have learnt so much from her and hopefully can pass this on to my new little baby who is waiting in the wings and really do her justice.

I think the judge might have been feeling quite generous but then again not all the scores were very high especially in the medium so I should be rather proud. She's redeemed herself for trying to finish me off in the car park at Patchetts!! (Its character apparently!)
