When moving to this yard i has signed nothing, no contract was in place we were simply given rules of being on the yard itself. Therefore there was no notice period etc.
Since then i have found a better place for me to stable therefore am moving. I have contact the yard manager asking if my 2 week livery can be refunded considering i will not be there or filling the space. We pay a month in advance but this spot at the other yard came up suddenly which is why i did not move earlier.
The reason im not allowed my money back is because shes not asked me to leave im leaving off my own back.
Is this right?
Help me please so i can find the best thing to do. Leave with no money or stand my ground and ask for it back?
I apologise... it seems I did missread your post, however it is written in quite a missleading style which would lead to such assumptions and my opinion hasn't changed I'm affraid. If you pay a month upfront, you can't expect to get any of it back. If I were planning on leaving, I'd actually hand my notice in at the start of my month and explain that I wouldn't be paying my two week's livery but that she could keep my deposit instead which is equal to two weeks livery as I have heard of people having trouble getting deposits back in legitimate circumstances.
