Moved house a few weeks ago and moved ned at the weekend. Friend (absolute star!!) came and helped me load him as he has never been in trailer before. to begin with, that was interesting but we got horse loaded and off we went.

Got horse to new yard. Its a private yard and the owner is going to assess my boy to see if i should sell him as i have posted here before, the quiet horse that he is in the stable is a different horse when tacked up! So. he arrived saturday. yard owner wasn't there as we were late and had a box ready for him. Put horse in box, made sure he was OK for everything and left.

First report was that saturday night my horse barged out of the stable and legged it! they caught him and put him back in.

He then did it again, baring in mind this yard owner is a VERY experienced trainer. My horse legged it again and this time managed to wedge himself between the lorry and a small wall. he jumped the wall (clever horse got himself out of trouble!). Not a view shared by the yard owner!

Sunday, he barged out of the stable again!!!

I think he has had a very bad weekend!!!
 
Have they not learned by now to shut the stable door??!!

I travelled with him to the yard and stayed with him for about an hour once he got settled in. He has a new friend over the wall that he can sniff and he is in the lap of luxury!

Basically he is a very young horse and he has been fed up to the gills with oats and stabled virtually 24/7 in the previous yard while he was being broken. He is like a coiled spring!

Saturday was such a stressfull day for him as he had so many new things to deal with. Started with travel boots and then just went down hill. The new trainer has put him on a diet and my poor boy loves his grub so along with all of the other things, he has been put on just haylage. Poor lad!!!!

Its good for him. no horse should barge through the door at you. Its dangerous. he needs to learn!

Absolutely.

He sounds as if he was very stressed. Presumabley he's on full livery then.
 
Yes he is on full livery - he is there for schooling and when he gets over his raring and bucking phase, the trainer is going to assess if i am able for him, and if not, I will sell him. at the moment, he is a real handful but he can go either of 2 ways, settle down nicely and we will have some fun or i will have to sell him.

he is such a handsome boy though but there is no point in me keeping him if I can't manage him!
