Its been a tough journey over the last few months but the decision is the correct one and she is going to the perfect home for her. I will miss her lovely face a lot, and had a cry on her today so I hopefully don't blub like a girl when they pick her up x

Oh you probably will have a cry - but i think it shows you care. When I sold my last horse I thought I was fine until he was in the trailer and then I was blubbing like a baby. Very embarrassing.

And when I picked up my current horse, his owner was crying when I got there, which then set me off and my OH. I cried nearly all the way home as well (over an hour) as I was so upset for his owner.

Good luck for tomorrow xx

Good luck. I have just agreed to buy a horse and having on trial first. Owner upset just at thought of selling and I feel awful as if I am stealing her horse. Though it does show the owner cares x

Thanks guys, ive got a ton of poo picking to keep my mind off things.

Not sure if I should give her a big groom and cuddles or just bring her out the field and hand her over. xx

Good luck. My horse's last owner was howling the whole time when I went to pick him up. Felt so guilty! Showed that she loved him tho which I liked and now that he's mine I can totally imagine how she felt! I'm sure new owners will understand. Hope it goes ok xx

Im really sorry for you... no word of a lie if I start to think about selling any one of my horses, I go really light headed and get to the point where your eye sight goes all fuzzy!!

I know its not the same but Im taking my baby girl to her new loan owner a few miles down the road, I know she will be back in the not too distant future but for now I shall miss her tons. She's 8 and Ive had her since 11 months :(

Will be thinking of you tomorrow and I hope all goes ok xxx

i cryed my eyes out when i sold my cob to a lady i had known 20 years and who only lives four miles up the road!!

I also cryed when i delivered my pony to her loan home x

Thanks everyone.

She was bought as my forever horse, but unfortunately it didnt work out after trying everything and tons of heartache, I made the hard decision.

She will love her new home :O) x

Our welsh pony is on permanent loan to a friend of ours, we go to visit every couple of months. I know that she is loved to bits and is treated like a queen. However my daughter and I cried like babies when we dropped her off and still get sniffly after each visit.

She went off safely. The new owners came to pick her up in the poshest horse box I have ever seen! She stood like a star while they bandaged and booted her and she happily loaded. The couple were lovely and so kind to me and they made it as easy as possible for me. I planned a ride for afterwards to take my mind off things, but I have had a cry since I came home.

I know she's gone somewhere where she will be treated in the way she deserves, like a princess.

Enjoy your new life Betty xx

Its always so sad when they leave, but sounds like she has gone to a fabulous home, and will be loved. Its all you can wish for when selling your horse, that their new owner cherishes and loves them - sounds like you've found that home for her :)
