My lovely vet!

As you know I had old Ted PTS last week.

Today I received a beautiful card from my vet.

Dear ..........

On behalf of everyone at T............., I would like to extend my deepest sympathy on your loss of SuperTed
I'm sure that the sadness of his passing will soon be replaced by the good memories of his long and illustrious career - he was clearly loved by everyone who knew him.
It was a blessing that he effectively made the decision for us and I am pleased we were able to give him a dignified passing.

Ted had been on loan to a number of the practices clients and they had treated him in many yards, all the vets at the practice knew him well and had a great deal of respect for the hairy old sod.

I said to my OH, I bet the bill arrives tomorrow. Cynical, me , never.

Joking aside I really appreciated the card, it made me cry.

That is so lovely! I think it makes a huge difference. Our old vet and current vet sent a card after they eiuthanised our dog...We hadn't even seen our old vet for nearly 2 years!
I am sorry for the loss of your horse but it really does sound like he was well loved.

Aww, that's lovely. We got a similar letter when I got the bill for having my old pet bunny PTS.

I am pleased to hear you appreciated the caring touch from your practice, We too have a policy to send out flowers to our clients that have long term animals with us that unfortunately have come to their end. It shows they care.
