My mare has a bang

My little extremely fine tb mare has a heat and some swelling just below her hock on the inside. Its also sensitive to touch. I think she's brushed Her leg and bruised it. It's on the hock bone not the tendons of ligaments.
She is 100% sound, trotted up several times on hard ground and sound after work.
Any thoughts? Should I ice it? Should I get a vet? Because she's sound I'm erring away from vet but I've not seen this injury before.

If she's sound I'd be tempted to cold hose and keep an eye on it over the weekend and call the vet monday if no improvement. Or just ring the vet and ask what they think have done this several times with mine and they are always happy to give advice over the phone. Puts your mind at ease as well.
