My mare in season in November- is this normal ?

My mare is in season today- I'm wondering if anyone else's mare are still cycling? It feels very late in the year, especially with the clocks going back.

Quite pleased to see this question. I tapered down the regumate dose recently and by the time we had gone from 12ml to 6ml I had a devil incarnate on my hands.

Oh yes mine definitely is!! She did all last winter too, milder climate and closer proximity to geldings in my case! Her ones over winter are far worse than the rest of the year…go figure!

I keep my mare on a low dose of Oestress year round. I raise it in spring and summer, but with the days of 10/11 degrees we often get in winter, some of her fieldmates are obviously cycling, so I find a bit of Oestress keeps her brain on track.
