My mare is too damn clever & dragons den idea.

I'm having problems keeping my mare in her paddock, she just walks through the electric fence. Yesterday & today it's been nice & mild so I've turned her out (supervised) with no rug. She made no attempt to go through the fence. I even tried to tempt her to touch the electric fence with a treat and was rewarded with a look that said 'I'm not stupid, I'm not touching that' so she clearly knows her rugs protect her because she doesn't give it a 2nd thought with her rug on.
On to the dragons den idea, I think it would be useful to have a range if rugs with a panel in the chest/neck that has wire woven into it so the zap conducts through the rug to the horse.

Sounds like a good idea, perhaps suggest it to one of the rug companies.

Pretty sure someone's already done it - wasn't it in H&H? Expensive though.

could you not just thread a pice through the rug, the tie it so it loops around. so if she touches the fence she will still get a shock?

Tried looping a bit of fence tape through the chest but doesn't seem to work with her.
Oh well I'll need to make my fortune another way then.
