Since I have known her, my 16 yr old TB mare has been a bit clumsy. She trips up allot both when being ridden and when she is walking.

What sort of damage could this cause to her knees/legs if any? and what are the remedies? i.e. boots etc?

She doesn't wear shoes so this may be a factor. I am concerned about her little knees getting damaged - or perhaps I am just being paranoid!

when I first got Ty he was very unfit and stumbled alot - we put natural balance on him for a few years - he's now back in normal shoes and fine.

Are you sure it isn't a medical kind of problem that's making her trip? We aquired a horse that was tripping alot but showed no signs of lameness, he turned out to have navicular. It might be worth getting your vet to have a little look.
