Hi all :)
To start off with, here's the link to Furries update, they have been little devils but it just makes me love them even more :) I am so glad that I got them :)

And now for the horsey bit that qualifies this post into this bit.
Recently my mare has become very very quiet, too quiet infact. She then started to refuse 70cm x-poles, despite jumping 1.25m courses at home quite happily a few weeks back.
I got worried because of that drastic change in the way she worked and the way she behaved. So first call was made to my physio.
Physio came out, and it turns out my mare was a bit of a wonky donkey :( She was extremely good throughout treatment, and I could see the change in her almost immediately. For starters, for the past week, she would have to be literally dragged in as she was so slow and unwilling, whereas normally, she trots sideways alongside me and spooks at random things like grass or something. When I brought her in the day after the treatment, she was back to her old trotting and spooking :) I am taking her out for a short hack in walk today, I have had a strict plan written up by physio of what to do with her on which days, so we are sticking to it :) Today is just walk mainly in straight lines and only turn left, so we are going for a 15min walk hack that happens to only turn left, so pretty much perfect :)
I think this just shows how some horses can change dramatically just because they are uncomfortable or hurting. Hence sometimes you buy a new horse that seems perfect, quiet, confidence giver eetc. You get it home, have all the checks done, and you end up with a completely different animal!
Pointless post really, I just wanted to share our experience and see whether anyone else has experienced this before?
