My Muck Boot Tynes have finally given up the ghost as the numerous splits have started to let in water. I'm loathe to buy some more as I know so many people have had problems with them splitting, so can anyone suggest what to buy next? I need some long boots which will keep my feet warm but which I can also ride in and also not too expensive (I've already got some nice leather boots for warmer weather).

I've been looking at Woof Wear Easy Close Long Adult Boots which I know are being sold as yard boots but I wondered if it would be possible to ride in them? Or can anyone suggest any other boots? Thanks in advance.

I'm on my second year of wearing the Woof Wear boots and I love them. They're a bit too thick to ride in regularly, as they rub my mare's hair on her side, and I can't feel enough to school in them, but I hack out in them if it's very cold.

I've had a pair of these for 6+years with no probs but needed a pair I could ride in. Got some of the JT Mudruckers at just under £40 and very pleased, they're a closer fit than the Tyne version as well so look less like wellies and more like a traditional riding boot

I've had exactly the same problem (lasted a year & have been great up until now split!). I've just ordered the Ariat Arctic Tall - on sale at TDS Saddlers for £75. I'm hoping they'll be better as they're a bit smarter & am planning to use them for hunting?!

Are the JT Muckrucker ones as high as the Tynes? I just got a pair of Tynes and they are warm and OK to ride in but I find they are not really long enough and the neoprene is getting rubbed on the inside leg already after not even 2 months.
