At the beach today, I stopped to chat to a couple who had a metal detector and were digging a hole in the sand.
So B decided HE would be just like them and dig a nice big hole too!
Cue the three of us suddenly screaming as we got absolutely covered in all the sand he was spraying everywhere with his gargantuan paws

Here he is, very proud of his handiwork -

On the plus side, he was a superstar today, great heelwork, no pulling and fab with the other dogs we met - the days of having to take a pinch collar, slip lead, broad leather pulling collar, a lunge line, a bag full of yummy bribes and a pair of strong gloves to the beach are long gone

And the woman with the metal detector turned out to have bred the mother of our great old bitch in the 1970s, tis a small world!

He was only trying to help

My little sable bitch that I showed in the 70s was a terror for digging. At one show in an indoor riding school with sand surface she dug a large hole whilst in the ring (serves her handler right for not paying attention to her)

What a small world though

Yes, he loves to help with lots of things, tying my laces, hanging up washing, a proper 'working dog'

Do I also recall a story about flinging horse poo around at the same venue?

He and Otto obviously got their wires crossed about what the job actually entails

Otto loves to "help"

At present he is offering he services "helping" me to eat my lunch

A job I need no help with

Lol, my mum's dalmation Nelson also thinks I require assistance with the eating of my dinner. He also provides cleaning up after dinner and washing up services

yuck!

Please could you send him to me??

My two clearly can't get involved in anything that resembles manual labour - they are busy dismantling Sweeps old bed and spreading that and the contents of the recycyling bin (blew over in the wind
