My new BC

Introducing, Finicella, here at home, shes called Poppy

. Shes a bit bigger and a bit more hairy now and is turning out to be the most intelligent BC Ive had the pleasure to meet. Shes out of Beltane( who I bred) and is by my friends dog Hagrid (Welsh lines and red merle). We begin obedience classes on Tuesday, Im nervous and she couldnt give a damn!

She's lovely!! This is the one you've were talking about a while ago isn't it? Dads friend Chris, a farmer in Mid Wales has one very similar, he says they are very rare nowadays.

Yep, shes the one! Whats rare-blue or red merle? I know that in the past, shepherds didnt like merles and tended to send them off to join the navy as soon as they were born. It was thought that they didnt have the impact on the sheep that the black and whites did-they didnt stand out enough to gee up the sheep into moving (I think ). Hagrids lines are Sadgyl Pip (sp) , your Dads friend will probably have heard of him.
