I have a 7 year old. Took her to one inhand show with another yard horse that she is pals with. Was in the ring for the prettiest mare, and she definately was! However when she stood for the judge and decided to rear up and throw a paddy we quickly went down a few places as her behaviour was not pretty!

To get to the riding arena she has to hack past her field and she will often refuse to walk past her friends. Or if they start running around she will want to join in!

We'd be bored if they were all push button and simple right?!

Classes like Best turned out/Prettiest/Most handsome are all useful for experience without being expected to do anything exciting like canter
