I've been reading When Sophie Met Darcy Day. A lovely book by Helen Yeadon about how she set up her ex racehorse charety.
I was reading it last night when I came across a couple of sentances that made me smile and that I could realy relate to.

Poor spelling doesn't matter when you're caring for ponies. There are much more important skills in life.

I know there are a few posters on here who like me are dyslexic and I have got some stick in the passed about my spelling and grammer on this forum (Esp when I asked what people got taught at collage ;) )
Anyway just thought I'd share it as it cheered me up after having a bit of a rough time lately :)

Hi Laura, I loved that book - so inspirational. I would love to go and visit Greatwood, and it's not too far away from me so I really must do it sometime.

That's a great quote - I think we should all remember it - so many people are too quick to put people down for spelling, when they don't know the whole story.

And just think - the people who are quick to put you down for spelling are probably lacking the amazing skills you have with horses. xx (loved your story today about the killer Shetland!) :)

I'm often reading my posts back later and realise they don't make sense. I have some useful packages for work; mind genius, electronic mind mapping tool, and text help read and write that speaks my docs in word back to me or emails so can hear my writing aloud and check for mistakes before copies go off..
Access to Work funds required stuff if in employment or self employment. They don't cover
Mind Genius now as feel it's not just for learning disabilities a lot of my colleagues at work have it. It is super for planning or when I just have a block on a blank bit of
paper but with this I shove any idea in and re-arrange as go.

Great quote, so true!

However there are some people that are bothered by bad spelling/grammar and others that aren't fussed.

Best wishes
Hannah

Thanks guys :o

LIZ66 It is an amazing book. I can relate to some of the children she talks about. I had a rough time at school but luckly for me I had Lucy :D I think Helen and her team are an insperation for what they do for the horses and children. They were advertising for staff recently. But I need somewhere for my whole rabble to move to. OH and all  :(
