Hi everyone!

Been a long time since I've been on this as I have been soooo busy with the new baby!
Well for those of you who remember, a few months ago I made the very difficult to sell my horse Rosie who was a big gentle giant & easy to do in every way but I just didn't enjoy riding her anymore and in all honestly had got bored and knew it wasn't fair on her. So i made the jump and sold her to a lovely family half an hour away, still keep in touch and she is doing fantastic! Going to visit her on Saturday :)
Then the scarey bit, I was buying a ten month old friesian filly ...
Well she has just been AMAZING! She was officially a yearling on the 25th of June.
Everyone loves her - she is like a big puppy - just loves people!
She has had boots, a rug, a bit everything no problem! Was picking her hooves out within a week and has had her visit from the farrier ... everything has just been brilliant, I definetly made the right decison she is just a complete gem!
I'm soo looking forward to seeing her grow up, anyway i took a few pictures of her the other day and uploaded them onto my photobucket, I hadn't noticed a difference because i see her every day but if you look back she has took a growth spurt lost all her baby fuzz and is looking so much more grown up all ready!
Sorry for the rant and the lack of decent pictures! Just thought I'd let everyone who was interested know how she was getting on and get an idea of how shes looking :)

Thanks :D

She is just beautifull!!

And sounds like a nice well behaved girl, you must be doing a good job with her to keep her that way!

Hope everything goes well for you two in the future

Thank you very much BobbyMondeo - she is the ideal first youngster, so laid back - I'm so happy with her and really glad I had the guts to get her :)

starbagtherainbow - Thank you, well I have forgotten the height of her sire & dam now! There are pictures of me riding Emmas mum on my photobucket. She is standing at 14 hh just now & she just turned one a few days ago, I'm guessing she will make 16hh but even if she doesn't I'm small enough that it doesn't matter! So excited to see her grow up though :)

I was wondering the other day how you were getting on - I remember when you were booking the vetting!

She looks lovely, I'm sure you will have years and years of fun with her!

Wow, she's lovely. Would it be cheeky to ask how much you paid? I've been after a friesian for years and now I'm more or less horseless I have the time to bring on a youngster :)

Thank you everyone :)
Nudibranch I paid £2500 for her, her mum Sarina was imported from Holland by Friesians Scotland & a man had purchased her from them in foal with Emma. I had emailed Friesians Scotland looking for a youngster and she let me know about Emma as she was a bit cheaper than the ones she had for sale at the time! I think I got a bargain tbh, she is the cheapest I have came across!

She's lovely, I have a yearling also, they grow so much but you dont notice it with seeing them everyday, its only when you look at pics you think blimey, how did they get so big lol x

She will turn out to be stunning whatever height she makes.. you can never beat a black beauty! Good luck :)
