Micah is so far proving to be a complete angel

Even when he is a little spooky he is so polite about it, doesn't do anything just looook or throw his head up in shock

Lunged him yesterday and he had a bit of a hooly but never pulled on the line and did some nice work.

Today he was ridden in the outside school in all this wind with lots of spooky things going on and he never put a foot wrong. Worked really well in a nice baby outline was rather wobbly with straight lines and can hardly canter yet and when he does its very wobbly lol. The most amazing thing is that he is so very very sweet and tries harder than I have ever known a horse do.
So as you can tell I am over the moon!!

My only down point today is other people......Already it seems the jealousy has started and by some people that have not even seen him. People that I thought were my friends are hinting that because he is imported and would automatically be given points (as i don't think I can prove he has done nothing) that I should not really enter things like walk and trot tests or the small SJ classes even the ones that say nothing about BSJA or DD money?points, as according to them it is technically cheating

Obviously if he had really done anything then I wouldn't want to do the baby stuff........ but he is such a baby despite being 6 and not 4 as I first thought

What would you do??

Rubbish Soulful - I've just logged on to find you as I'm still ruddy horse hunting for you and have COMPLETLEY missed the fact that you have got a new horse - fast work lady !

I'm going to go through your old posts now to avoid you having to repeat yourself ! - I would sod everyone else and do what you want you haven't been on this hellish journey to be dictated to by idiots - Do as much riding club as you like obviously if you end up with strait 8's in all you tests go up a stage but if not then you have stuff youi need to work on !

Brill news BTW x

don't listen to anyone it seems to be a jelousy thing. just be proud and enjoy your new lad. i have never heard of imported horses been given pionts automatically and it is obvious he is green. maybe they are just worried that you will be stiff competition for them

ok so why not get confirmation from the 3 federations, just so you can prove the point that you are eligible for novice classes. I know you should not have to justify entering a novice unf. event but unfortunatly this is the society we live in.................
The three emails you require are:
Holland – info@knhs.nl

Germany – fn@fn-dokr.de

Belgium – info@equibel.be

I am pleased your new horse has gone well............

Jealousy is such a green eyed monster!!!

As you said, you can't prove that he has points, therefore, you have no knowledge of these, and you can do whatever you like
grin.gif

Try not to let them rain on your parade, some people have little else to think about

Glad your new horse is settling in, and heres to lots of fun in the future

They just sound jealous - I really do not understand why people have to be like that. Personally, I would ginore them and don't let anything spoil your enjoyment of your new horse he sounds wonderful!

Thank you everyone !!

Sorry my son still has my camera will try and get some on my phone but last time had trouble downloading them onto the pc lol

yep I agree with everybody else and say ignore all the snide remarks and carry on as you think fit. You will always come accross nasty people who are just jealous and or ignorant. I am please you have found a lovely horse and yes, we need piccys!

Really pleased to hear that you're enjoying your new neddie! My friend had to go through this with her imported WB but for BSJA. She had to jump at a BSJA show and get graded through them as she ouldn't prove anything.
crazy.gif
She went in the lowest class at that show, I believe it was British Novice, she didn't get half way round and got eliminated. They graded her with 'x' points, but it was too many points for to continue in any of the British Novice classes - in which she hadn't even got round!!

crazy.gif
Good luck with your grading, I imagine with your chapp being baby green they will give you some leeway xx
grin.gif

Pictures are needed!!!

im confused by some of the things you say?

Id do the classes thats right for you if you do want to do some competitions and tell everyone else to piss off! As long as the pair of you are comfortable and you enjoy him thats the main thing!!

Ignore!
Certain people will always find something to bitch about!
So how come he is 6 rather than the 4 he was advertised at?

[/ QUOTE ]

The young man selling him got 2 horses ages mixed up. Too be honest its better for me as didn't really want another baby as I am too infirm to cope with one anymore.

As I only really plan to to local stuff and maybe Trailblazers, I won't bother with grading unless I really have too

Go ahead and enter what comps you like. But if you both are doing well at home and at your first few comps then move up through the levels/classes so your competing in the appropriate ones. Just use the lower levels/smaller classes for a bit of experience and confidence to begin with. I'm sure you wont be one to stick to walk and trot tests because you can win them (I know people who do this which irritates me).

lol oh god know would drive me nuts!! I don't even think he has seen dressage boards bless him.

I have to be extra careful with my leg I cannot afford another accident on it or will probably never be able to ride again, not too mention my RA really restricts me.

Eh? whose said you shouldn't do the walk and trot dressage or the small SJ then? Even if he is given points for being imported that doesn't stop you entering the unaff dressage and SJ does it! Big difference in an imported horse automatically being given points just because its imported to someone riding a graded horse round an unaff SJ course just to pot hunt! Yes if there is a reason to do it, like having problems or just bringing back to work but you know as well as I do people do it to pot hunt
mad.gif
Take no notice of them that say you shouldn't compete, I didn't even know you were thinking of doing any yet?

Thanks hun. Its not someone you know, it is people who go to the other small summer show I go to. I'll send em your way LOL

Yes we know what some people are like!! I have no idea when I will even be thinking of competing in SJ. WE have no canter yet and I just don't have a clue yet how my leg is going to affect me.
but I do hope to do a WT test soon maybe just after Christmas. However no rush if it happens then great if not I have a whole new year coming up
smile.gif

please and I'll put em right for you
smirk.gif

You know my views on this, I really hope it works out for you after what you been through recently
grin.gif
Hey work on it slowly but surely and when you feel like it give the walk and trot a go, me or Chris will call for you as we are there anyway, just for the experience more than anything else as the atmosphere can get to them
smirk.gif
so have a bash before you are ready so when you are ready he will be used to the idea?
