My new horse is home!

Well its been a rollercoaster couple of months, mostly bad things happening lol, but finally have had some good fortune!

We couldnt get the horse we were going to get for various reasons, but Im so pleased now that we waited and found our new boy.

After my last mare who was a loony we wanted to find a horse we could have on trial or view a view to buy, however finding nice horses with owners who will allow this isnt easy, so we have been very lucky!

Anyway without further ado, here he is:

17.3hh, rising 7yrs, belgian warmblood x, he came home today!

He is such a good boy and settled in immediately, happily munching his hay within 2 minutes!

Hubby rode him last week and loves him, feels so safe and has actually found a horse big enough for him! We are so happy!

No we didnt get the dark bay in the end, there were, ahem, a few discrepancies which I wont go into but basically we made the right choice!

ooh so pleased you had a good day with her, nothing more exciting than a new horse!
 
LOL Sue it isnt Max, didnt get him for a few reasons (will PM you if you want), this horse was basically a lucky find, and we couldnt be happier.
Have to keep pinching myself!
 
didn't think it looked like him, yes please to pm as would like to know what happened, not that I'm nosy but you know I was interested.

Well Ive been up since 3.45am today and have an early start to muck out, so I better hit the hay!
ah the joys of having 2 horses again, luckily OH has caught the bug so can share the workload!!
 
He looks lovely. Hope your husband enjoys having fun with him. My husband had his first riding lesson in ages today and he was better than I thought he would be. Horse was already warmed up so husband started cantering straight away and he didn't even look remotely wobbly! He said he really enjoyed himself so maybe, just maybe, he will be like your OH and we can have a horse each one day! You are so lucky!!
 
You have obviously had a few ups and downs (read your previous posts about passports etc.). Sometimes things have a habit of working out for the best - he looks gorgeous, not that I like big horses (*cough*), see my two in my sig.

Definitely for the best though, we only found out about this horse this week so have been extremely lucky!

He looks totally gorgeous - very big but I think your husband is tall like mine? I'm beginning to like the look of bays more and more.
