He arrived yesterday afternoon, walked off the trailer past the farrier and all the horses/people/dogs and into his stable as if he has done it all his life! This morning i took him for a walk to stretch his legs and he walked past flapping plastic and all sorts of other things without a murmur.
The only thing im not keen on is the fact that he is very skinny, and has rainscald. He wasnt fat when we went to view him but he really has lost alot of weight.

Unless I am seeing things he has 2?!

I will very much keep my eye out for updates on him as I love watching unloved hairy ponies become glistening, loved animals

Thank you! Yes he does have 2 socks, but i still plan to keep him for ever! He is a welsh cob called Goyallt Nico and he is 18 months old. I bought him from Wales, but they had to wait for the snow to clear so the vet could get to their yard to castrate him, so i have been waiting very impatiently for him to arrive!!
To add to his problems he also has lice.
We are introducing feed very slowly so as not to over load him. We know he is used to haylage so hes getting quite a bit of that. I might be dreaming but i think he looks rounder already.
I let him out in the school today for a bit of fresh air. Have to watch he cant sniff noses with any other horse though now we have found his little friends. He will be pleased to get rid of them!!
