Well im an ol` lady so probably, a bit local Dressage, Showing (though what classes an ISH appaloosa will do I don't l know) BHS Trek and lots of pleasure rides and loads of hacking.
I have a lovely friend who at 21 loves a bit of jumping and hunter trials and XC so I will offer her the ride for those events. I dont do jumping! But all that seemsa long way off at the moment.

Just want to get him backed and turned away by the end of the summer and have all the basics in place by then, hes not even had a rug on so far. I am hoping to get the simple basics done myself but I am looking for a professional to back him.
I d love to be able to send him away in August say and have him come back all finished and done, but its not that simple really.
I favour the the Australian NH methods myself and would hope to have him broken in Auzzie/western tack to start with if I can find anyone in the Highlands.

but I do fancy sending him to Jason Webb, if I can afford it!

He is very gentle and quiet but a bit worried atm. I ve groomed his face and neck and started on his mane and he stood quietly and lead him about a bit but this is only day two

He has lovely paces and just floats and bounces in trot and canter and he looks like he would have a huge jump as he has long legs and is close coupled and very athletic.

I am really suprised how very nice he is 'cos he looked like a donkey in some pictures the breeder sent me!

Gosh he is very lovely, what a lovely face!! Esp love the pinky/blacky muzzle, yum!
I should think you could do almost anything with him, he looks a real all rounder!
Im almost jealous remembering the excitements of backing Liesel the Haffie with my RI. Hope you have loads of fun with him!

He is gorgeous, and in the photos he is not a patch on what he looks like close up.He is MA-HOUSIVE and looks really powerful. His hind quarters are fabulous and I would think he has 9 inches or more of bone. He looked like a an ugly duckling in the photos the breeder sent me (bad camera angle perhaps) , but I trusted my judgement based on his breeding and took a chance and bought him unseen for under £2000.
I am over the moon, and he has the most lovely temperment too, I "groomed" him today with a plastic bag and he wasn't at all bothered, and he is very bold and goes and investigates things that look scary, - like big birds in the field etc!

He loves a good roll though ( great washable shade you see)

You should defo send him to Jason.

He rebacked my youngster for me, and I love it so much there we are now on livery there! It's just such a brilliant place.
