I'm of an age where we used to pour hydrogen peroxide onto the soles....quite dramatic and worked well.

Thin bleach also works, it's what my vet told me to use 40 years back. My first line of attack now is peroxide because its nicer to use than bleach for the human. Anything which delivers oxygen usually works, basically.

The red horse artimud is fab ONCE you are on top of it..

Personally would clean up well and a solution of hibiscrub etc and then make a paste of copper sulphate and sudocrem. Use that for 3 days and you will see a huge difference and then can use the artimud to prevent.

Oh yes we did too! I forgot about that. Followed by Stockholm tar as a preventative :)
Wow this is taking me back! My ex racer had terrible thrush (huge cracks up the bulbs of her heals), loved seeing the peroxide bubble out after squirting it in with a syringe. I found copper sulphate mixed with vasaline shoved into it and bunged up with cotton wool was great, left it for a week, scrubbed with povodine and repeat.
