My new project...

A little update on Bounty:

We have managed at last to get her long reining sensibly - she still has her moments, but is much better, and we are planning to start taking off off the yard and out of the arena to get her used to seeing more things. She has been so over reactive that I added extra magnesium over and above what she gets in her mineral mix, and it seems to have done the trick - she is much calmer and less reactive.

We have been getting on her again, mainly in the yard, but today was her first venture off the yard with someone on her back - we just went round the car park, but she was absolutely fine.

I have also introduced her to clippers, which bizarrely she was not bothered about - particularly as she over reacts to lots of other things!! She is now no longer the bearded lady, and has one trimmed front leg, one half trimmed front leg and her hinds have been hacked with a pair of scissors to reduce some of the bulk before I trim them properly - With feathers she looks really pony like, but without the she looks like a horse!!
