Lady I know had her's skinned & put it on the wall. Would be 30yrs ago now that she did it but it is still on the wall.

My Dad used to work at a zoo, and I helped out (in the days before Health and Safety

). There were horses for the lions and hyenas.

I have said, that if anything happens to this horse, I will have her stuffed and mounted on rockers and that'll be my horse

I started reading this thread with horror and thought how can you guys be so blase. I have finished reading this thread chuckling away. Yous guys have really made me laugh with your comments. Love the slow cooker bit and pony burgers!

I couldnt let my baby go to a zoo - sounds horrific. Not sure I would want the stuffed head either but having said that - would be nice for the odd chat and cuddle.

The zoo thing is really interesting. I would like to think that when I have a horse and it is PTS that it is going on to keep other animals alive.

I think having the horse stuffed or skinned would be creepy.

Two of the horses from our yard went to Colchester Zoo in Essex so I'm sure it can be done.
