Well, because my foaling alarm has come I have decided to start staying over at the yard in my little caravan from tonight onwards. I don't think she will have it tonight or tomorrow night, but because I have a CCTV camera in the stable, staying in the caravan will allow me to keep an eye on her without having to disturb her (the monitor will be in the caravan). It will give me the chance to see what she does normally in the night and gauge if there is anything starting by just watching her from a distance.

Wish me luck...

Good luck

I am so excited for you - please please have camera batteries fully charged, this is the first foal on here I have followed from conception through to now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are an inspiration to me - along with Sportsnight and JosieJo!!!

Think of me in my little tin caravan tonight... never stayed in a caravan before in my life, I am quite excited to be honest

Make sure lots of piccies when she has had little foalie!

Oh you'll be grand I always used to stay in caravan. Use lots of blankets and don't leave heating on at night as you always wake up feeling groggy! Although one of the wee electric blow heaters are gd

Thanks Sallyf... I think the time is definitely right now!

Just had email from stud and they said the same thing as she is due on 1st March so could be any time this week. At least if I stay there I can keep my eye on her.

Good Luck and all the best, will be thinking about you and checking for updates

Book... just found one I have not read (oh, and my foaling bible of course

)

It has a TV in it, so I will just switch that on if I get bored and I have a small radio in Hannah's stable which I have been and bought some new batteries for this afternoon.

Hmmm, it would be a whole lot more fun with a couple of bottles of wine to keep me company

But as I don't think that would be the best idea I will just have to settle for a nice cup of tea

A couple of things .
Mobile phone and vets phone no just in case.
Is there someone to watch her before 11 or is yard still pretty noisy.
I know they say most are born between 12 and 2 but we have had just as many if not more born between 4 in the afternoon and 11 at night.
It is quiet here though as our own yard so that will probably make a differance.
sorry cross posted
