I am wondering if anyone else has a horse that pees mid gallop\canter and sweats on their ovaries? She is an expolo pony and tends to stress herself out which may explain the ovary sweating but any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think sweaty ovaries are possible! sweat glands are associated with the skin or hair follicles :o what do you mean by sweaty ovaries?

I'd advise to get a vet out to scan her ovaries, blood test for hormone levels and check her back - sounds to me like she's uncomfortable enough with pressure from the saddle to sweat in that region and peeing while cantering is NOT good!

Do keep us posted and good luck with her!

More likely to be a kidney problem I'd have thought and one that needs an urgent visit from the vet as it is not normal

I had a friend whose horse displayed symptoms like this, sadly they never got to the bottom of it. She was tearing her hair out with worry over it so I can absolutely see why this would be a first post. It's also a difficult set of symptoms to describe as its hard to envisage til you've seen it. My sympathies for a difficult problem and good luck.

I would expect the OP to contribute to her first post, but having posted she has gone.

Sorry have been working so not able to reply as soon as a comment has been posted! What I meant was she sweats ontop of where her ovaries are... So just infront of her back legs at the bottom of her belly... She doesn't ever seem in any pain at all and her back has been checked going to get a vet out this week and hopefully will come to a conclusion as to what it is! It seems to be distressing me more than her!

If her ovaries are down there, she has a far more fundamental problem than any of the others you describe!

Sarcastic replies aren't really helpful to be honest, I was merely asking people as I am at a loss as to what to do. Will definitely get the vet out... Again!
