I am so excited!! My OH came with me to spend the day with my 2 boys on Sunday and got to know them a bit etc. I thought it was good when he said he wanted to learn a bit more about them so he could help out and stuff.
We then went to my friend's yard, who has quite a few neddies. There is one in particular - a big yearling colt, a stunning bay who I have had my heart set on ever since I saw him at a few days old. So I spend some time mucking around with him (as you do) and eventually tear myself away to go home. In the car on the way home, OH starts asking questions about said yearling, such as "how much would he be now" "how much would he be in a few years time when I can afford him" etc etc. After I'd answered a few questions he says, "well why don't we get him then? It makes more sense to do it now?!"
After being completely dumbfounded, I eventually found my voice to ask where that idea came from and that I couldn't afford him now, to which he replied, "I will buy him for you, and it's worth it to see the look on your face when you are with him."
Actually in shock. I am soooo lucky!
