My OH's staff has lost a lot of weight - any ideas?

My OH has a young staff bitch, she's around 4 years old, has tonnes of energy and is always bouncing around with endless energy. She eats a big dinner and goes to the toilet like normal, in fact she's done nothing out of the ordinary but has lost lots of weight and all her ribs are visible, when you look down on her, her body is really skinny and gaunt. OH has said she doesn't have worms, and is perfectly normal otherwise, but he said he's also fed her extra and she's still not gaining weight.

Any ideas?

Long shot - is she more active now than normal ? might be an overactive thyroid

Visit to the vet is in order, any unexplained weightloss should be investigated.

Digger123 - He said she's not changed at all except the weight loss, she's still as bouncy as usual.
