Hellooo all!
I have had a lovely day at Patchetts today with my orange one!
She was so well behaved and really listening to me today!
We started at the 70cms as it was our first time out in a year and a half or so, and I didn't want to blow her mind, and my God she was spot on. Got a double clear and that was enough to make my day, I couldn't have faulted her!
Then went in to do the 80cms, and I was 3rd in the class (I hate going near the beginning!) I took her in, and jumped the wrong bloody jump!! *kicks self* but she jumped it so nicely bless her! I jumped one of the jump off fences accidently! I was so angry at myself, but at least I have something to learn from.
I took her back to the practise ring after the 80cms, just to have a go over a jump to finish on a good note...AND I FELL OFF AT IT! Gah, Gem stopped at the last minute, because I really wasn't helping her by being in a strop that I had messed up the 80cms, so I don't blame her at all! Dad caught it on camera so it is now up in the gallery haha!
Anyway, I got back on and jumped it again and she was fine, so called it a day there.
Went back to the box to load up and go home, and she took half an hour or so standing on the ramp in her own little world!! But walked up eventually (after loading perfectly first time this morning!)
Have had such a wonderful day though, am so proud of Gem, she worked really hard for me!
Am now thinking of going out a few more times on a ticket again, and then affiliating her because the courses were so nicely built today, they nice to ride. It was such a shock coming from unaffiliated hit and miss striding (in my experience at least, please don't shoot me down), to absolutley bang on striding etc. it was really well run and, AHHH I'm just so happy
