Been away for a week, and hubs has been having a battle with Shy over his muzzle and suncream saga. Anyways, I turn up at the field, he's over the other side, I call him, and he gallops up to me, leaping his baby legs everywhere and stops dead at my feet - cannot tell you how brilliant that felt !

Sorry, just thought I'd say that Shy is fab !! ;)

This is us just after some swimming -

Ahh how sweet, would have brought a tear to my eye I think :D love the stream, looks like fun :)

My 6 week old foal squeaks when she sees me, is the best feeling ever (my other 3 horses I have had 15, 8 & 4 years couldn't care less, she is my only hope for a horse that likes me....)

Ah bless, glad you're a pair of happy bunnies back together - that's what makes it all worth while isn't it?

Thankyou guys :)

He is a little cracker, I'm so lucky to have him. Apart from when I fall off. What would we do without them, eh ! ;)

Aww that's really sweet. My mare neighs at me when I get to the yard, whether she's in or out - if out she'll come galloping over - she even recognises the car as you can see it from the road and when she sees it she gallops to the gate. She never used to do that a few months ago, had her a year now and it now seems she loves me more now :)
Your boy is lovely :)

Having just spent half the week in hospital, the 1st thing I had to do was go check the dobbins were all ok. I kind of expected Stiggy to be a tiny bit pleased to see me, but no, he mugged my pockets then bu**ered off in disgust that I had not brought him anything nice to eat!
Nothing like being put in your place huh!

I work in Hong Kong (as a teacher) so I can afford a horse BUT, I can't have one here as there are no livery yards. It's hard and not an ideal situation but I'd rather have this than not have my horse. By the way, yours is a corker.

Oh blimey, I didn't realise that :( I must be soooooooo slow ! The time will pass soon enough, tho that's not much consolation. Being away from Shy for a week has been hard enough.

Shysmum what a lovely picture, if you can just post me the horse...I want one of those!

My cob did a lovely whinny this week a long one, and so did the mad youngster in the next field(who gets nought off me)!! Both came running down!

I was more impressed with mad youngster, who is off his trolley most of the time!

When I call Skye from the field she sees it as her 3 minute call: ie she has 3 minutes to stuff as much grass down her face as possible before I drag her out of the field.
She does whicker cutely at me in the mornings but I think that's more a "where's my breakfast?!"

Awww, it's always so nice when they come bounding over enthusiastically!! And he looks absolutely gorgeous, I'm very jealous of your swimming as there's nowhere around me that I could do that.

I've got to ask though, the Shires bag attached to your saddle, is that the double pannier thing they sell, or one of the others? I've been debating getting some form of saddle bag for ages but the catalogue photos tend not to be great, and I can never find anywhere local that stocks them for me to have a look! :(

lovely story - know the feeling - and what an absoulte beautiful horse shy is - youre photos radiate pure simpy happiness and thats what horses are about - this post as made me feel all nice and happy - thank you for sharing :) xxxx

Thanks so much, I really do know how lucky I am to have Shy :) I am bipolar, and he really is the thing that keeps me almost sane, lol.

The shires panniers I have are these ; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Shires-Sa...t=UK_Horse_Wear_Equipment&hash=item53e0e579e0

They are really fab, big, and I can fit loads in them. They attach by straps that go underneath the girth straps - I couldn't work it out until they arrived, as it just isn't clear. I looked at masses, as a result of a post I put on here, and these are the ones I went for in the end, and am really chuffed with them.
