My poor cat, Bailey, came in with a horrible injury on tuesday morning. He's a huge, great big, black tom with a very saggy belly which was obviously his down fall! He came in and lay down on the dogs bed and started to lick his tummy when I turned and notice a huge area of raw flesh and a big dangling flap of skin hanging down. I whipped him up to the vets and she reckons that he's caught a nipple, probably on the neighbours barbed wire fence, and pulled it and a large piece of skin clean off! He's had to be stitched up and is black and blue and very swollen, poor boy. Apparently it's a common injury in gun dogs too when they are slinking through the under growth! All I can say is ouch!!!
