I woke up this morning to the sound of my mum shouting in a panicked voice for dad to go downstairs. I ran down to find Digby with blood on him and his bed.
He had a puncture wound and he needed a vet.
The vet is going to operate tomorrow, it is massive now, it was deep this morning but now it looks so much bigger. Don't really know what he did, possibly a branch punctured it? But apparently there must have been an abcess that burst

Cinnamon, I'm not sure yet. There is a lot of fluid and yuck coming out of it. I guess it depends on how well they get it cleaned up tomorrow :-S

Bless him! Dogs heal amazingly quickly. It looks like a hotspot one of mine had: athletes foot powder dried it up super quickly, just in case the vet leaves it open.

He's had his op and is awake. Can pick him up at 5pm.
Haven't heard any details yet about what they've done. Can't wait for a cuddle now, i always hate the thought of them sat in a cage all groggy

They've cleaned it all up but left it completely open :-S
We've to keep it clean and hes got painkillers and antibiotics to take every day.

They had to take x rays half way through the op as his breathing got very heavy and they were worried he could have damage to his lungs. Luckily all is ok so don't know why his breathing went like that.

Hopefully now he can heal :-)
