My poor jr terrier 11 month old Charlie is really sick and had to take him in today and they've kept him in.

He had his bits snipped on Wednesday came home was a bit wobbly and sick but within 24 hours was back to his normal bubbly self.

Fast forward yesterday evening he was sick which was white and foamy so didn't give him his dinner crated him over night all seemed ok went to toilet ect this morning. Had to do horses and as it's not particularly dry at the minute crated him at home while I was out for about 3 hours. Came back to vomit and the runs with blood in, he had really pale gums was shaking and just wanted to lay down.

Obviously took him straight to vets she wasn't sure what it could be possibly an infection but isn't really sure. He's going on a drip for rehydration and anti biotics and gonna take some bloods to see if they can find out what's going on.

Poor boy!!!!! :-(

Poor Charlie, hope the vets find whats going on very soon, you must be so worried. Sending lots of positive vibes for your little boy x

Thank you poor boy. I'm very worried as think the vet was playing it down as I had my daughter with me. I can ring at 7 for an update!!
Thankfully he is insured too!!!!

Hate to tell you but find out now if you are insured for complications of a routine op (castration) as you may not be, and finances may influence your decisions. Hope the little lad is ok, does sound like he's sick but hopefully fluids will perk him up.

Poor Charlie, hope the vet can find out what the problem is and he is soon on the mend. Pickle had similar symptoms a few weeks ago, vomiting and bloody diarrhoea, also a temperature. He was on iv fluids and anti biotics for several days, daughter not sure if he had eaten something that had upset him or it was an infection but he is absolutely fine now.

Hi thanks for the get well vibes. Spoke to the vets this evening they think it's a severe case of gastronitits. He's on a drip and that now he's perked up a lot which is a good sign. If I'd left it a few more hours they don't think he'd have made the night but there hopefull now. Poor thing!!! So fingers crossed for him.
Thank you xx

Yer he's on a drip of fluids and anti biotics and pain killer injections so fingers crossed he wagging his tail now and getting lots of cuddles from the nurse so fingers crossed poor boy.
My little girl is devestated we only lost my elderly dog last year and got him a few months later. :-(

Get well soon little doggie. It's such a worrying time when our pets are poorly but he's in the right hands so hopefully he'll be home soon xx

Well some good news, spoke to the vet this morning he's a lot brighter, the blood has stopped coming from both ends. When I spoke to them they were about to try him on some food and go from there. Think he will be in till tommorow but I would rather him be there in case he went downhill after eating he's been looked after and having lots of cuddles from the vet nurse as she's fallen in love with him. So just got my fingers crossed he carries on in the right direction!!!
