Had McTimoney girl out again to finish Beau today, she didnt get done last time as he was trying to kil her

anyway when I lunged him last week for the 2nd time in his pessoa, I noticed he was reluctant on right rein, and lame.
I thought it was just because she hadnt finished doing his right hand side the first time.

So he has had the week off, been totally sound in a straight line on all ground, just lame on a circle on right rein.

So she came out again today and he is still really lame, offside fore. Poor boy.

She thinks its in the foot as she had very few adjustments to make, farrier is out in a few days so will see what he says.

If no luck, then the vet.

After 2 months of lance being lame I really dont need Beau to do it to me aswell now!

May be just a foot balance thing going on? Or lack of muscle now that everything has been put back in by your McTimoney girl which means Beau has to move differently & build back up again? Remember if you have a full lameness work up you will probably hav your nice new shoes taken off again....

The thing is he was sound after his first treatment, its only this last week and a half he has been lame.

Liz(mctimoneygirl) said she is pretty positive its nothing to do with what she has done, bloody horses!

Good vibes coming your way.. please be careful though, my mare was lame on her leg just on a circle to the right, had vet etc, back done etc turned out it is a fracture of the splint so on box rest now, am getting paranoid about horses lame on one rein on a circle now !

eek, checked for splints, but no signs, no swelling or heat either, andno reaction to any flexion.

(though did have a splint! she is on 6 weeks boxrest (done two) then goes back to Willersley for further x rays

ohno.

Well we checked for splints and there is certainly nothing visible, he hasnt even been ridden for a month as i dont have a saddle that fits him at the mo.

did you get x rays done then I take it?

Yes got referred to Willersley as our vet failed to sedate her (and thier practice policy is to sedate horses to x ray as machine is expensive
tongue.gif
) Sven watched her work on flat and lunge then x rayed her without sedation ( she is very needle shy ! ) diagonsed the fracture sent her home on six wks boxrest then back for more
