Me, my baby dog (Fern) and boyfriend went out on a hack yesterday. Never been on this one so we were all looking around, to see where the bridle path went. When I looked back in front of me I saw my little girl right in front of my horse, the step before he walked all over her!!!!!!

Well she let out the worst sound I ever heard, I saw her go stright under him. Bless him he tried to stop as he didn't see her, either. My fella came running down and picked her up, I thought she would be dead!!!

When we got her home her foot was red and looks as if she may loose her toe nail, but better that, then anything else.
Sorry long and boring, thanks for reading!!

Shes doing fine only limpped for a min, then went back to her self running rings around all of us. We were lucky King only just stept on her toe, but he has been on mine and I know how she felt.

It looks like, when you hit your finger with a hammer. Her legs ok not swollen and her toes are all moving and normal looking.
Didn't take her to a vet, because as soon as we got back home her granny (a nurse) had a look at her and said just clean her foot up and keep an eye on her.
Very lucky, thought she would of lernt her lesson but she was still running around my horses feet. Should know better is nearly 11 years old!!!!

One good thing is that she will learn that big heavy things coming towards her can hurt!!!
My two surviving JRT learned this early when they were lightly trampled on by my horses. One had a broken toe the other just bruised and a fright.
Both dogs very quickly developed road sense as far as cars went after that.
So if your puppy not seriously maimed then it could be a positive experience, ie a steep learning curve!
Good luck

Aw, the poor thing! My dog is always running under my horse's feet and she's very spooky so I'm always worried that one day my horse will get a fright and jump on poor little Bo! She nearly got squashed the other day and I got the fright of my life! Your dog was very lucky, hopefully he'll learn his lesson and it won't happen again. x
