Took my mare in the school this evening and noticed straight away that she felt weak behind like she was twisting. Popped her into trot and she was all over the place so jumped off and took all her bandages off and stuck her on the lunge. She didnt seem right at all, not lame as such but very odd behind!!. She dishes anyway but she looked far worse tonight. It looks worse on her right hind, checked her feet and legs and higher up no cuts or heat etc. Took all her tack off to see how she moved freely and still the same. Have turned her out tonight and will see how she is in morning. Im kind of hoping its where she has been in all day (she comes in because she headshakes even in the field when hot), and got stiff. Phoned my back lady who said she cant come and treat her because my mare has just been scanned in foal and as she is a muscle manipulation/ sports massage person she might cause my mare to abort as she is so early in. So fingers crossed its only stiffness. :(.

hope its nothing major. my boy is having nerve blocks next week and has been lame for 6 weeks now and tests arnt showing anything. its so worth having the vet out if your unsure, for the cost of a call out and for them to say its nothing serious is so satisfying, in my case its ,no, your horse is lame on all fours :S £600 later, still nothing, well saying that, he sound infront now. hopefully you wont have the same problem! healing vibes!

She has had a injury in her pelvis area in the past so i am hoping she is just stiff there from standing in. She wont lay down in a stable so may be poss. Fingers crossed x.
