My three horses have just come in as the rain although not overly heavy is pretty relentless and they were stood looking gloomy at the gate.
I unrugged them and the first 2 obviously wet neck, heads etc were bone dry and warm underneath their Weatherbeeta and rambo turn outs, then i come to no 3 who has a PE 70g as he's not clipped and quite a stocky little lad but i was horrified to pull it off and find he's absolutely soaked- I mean literally i had to sweat scrape him off and put a cooler on- its not even visable he had a rug on at all other than a dry line round his neck!
I'm really shocked- its one of my more expensive purchases (the other 2 are second hand ebay buys)
Its not been reproofed but tbh i only got it at the very end of last winter so its not had a huge amount of use really.
Back to the old weatherbeeta which isnt as good a fit but at least keeps him dry!
I am stunned!
