how to jump over the stair gate in his room, I went to the yard with him shut in I came back with him at the front door!!! I didnt believe it was possible so I shut him back in there and he was back on the top of the gate in 5 seconds!!! Little bugger, now to figure out how to get him to stay in there!!

Cazzie has learnt in 2 days how to open a door she jumps up hits the handle and it opens I have found her twice now in the sitting room when I have came home insted of her room. she hasnt chewed thank goodness.:)

Barns not quite that clever! He learnt when doors were slightly open he could use his head to push them open .. Unfortunately he can't tell the difference between a open and shut door :o

Mine were clearing the three foot fence into the garden, so we replaced it with a four foot fence. Which they now clear with ease  I find it simpler to leave open the gate!

We have those tall stair gates now as Loki, our Dalmatian, discovered early on that he could sail over the shorter ones if he got a running start. He also taught himself how to get the kitchen door open, which resulted in replacing the handle with a round one that he can't get his paws into. Our Patterdale figured out how to unlatch his kennel, so now we need to replace it with one that has more complicated latches. Loki has also discovered that if he abuses the gate dividing the garden enough, it will jiggle free. If they would put half as much effort into their training as they do getting to parts of the house and garden they aren't meant to be in, I'd be quite pleased! Alas, they do not.
