My puppy arrived at the weekend

is he one of them pups where the doorbell rings or something bangs and he goes skitz and tails wagging like mad??

not really!

He does excited for about half an hour - then he sleeps for about 3 hours

and is usually oblivious to any noise when he is sleepy or sleeping!

Tail goes mad when I speak to him tho

I think he thinks there is one of his brothers or sisters trapped in the oven

He is gorgeous, and he has the same pheasant toy as my black lab, although my boy prefers rudolf that granny bought him for xmas

Ohhhh, this takes me back to 51/2 months ago when we got our little black lab puppy, Poppy. She's now 7 months old, and still so cute, but gosh, was she a gorgeous puppy!

And she had Mr Pheasant too! She ripped the first Mr Pheasant up and started to eat the stuffing, so we had to take it away, but she was so bereft we had to buy her another one! We disembowelled him, and she now carries a rather flacid looking pheasant about with her everywhere.

She also has Mr Monkey, who has miraculously survived, but Mr Duck, Mr Flamingo, and Mr Gibbon all met untimely deaths.

I want another one now!!!

The pheasant - or phillip as my OH has named it ! - is the favourite toy...

we also have ugly sheep, zebra and rabbit (on the fluffy toy side of things) - Zebra is also taking a battering

I love puppies!

Cala - I think you are probably right - he always sits expectantly when we go to the fridge or oven

not that he gets fed from there - must be the smell

hey stunning little chap you have there!! they dont stay like that for long have a 4 1/2 month choc lab, he is now 35 pounds i remeber when he was that small haha, and they sleep less and less hahahxxxx
