My lovely Fury dog turned one last weekend, so I thought I would share a few photos of her :)

I've never had a Retriever before, and this time last year I was adamant we were not having one, and my OH would relent and compromise on a nice springer puppy...

So in November last year we compromised - he got exactly what he wanted and I had to find a way to be OK with that. I've had animals my whole life, and I feel bad for saying it, but I have honestly never felt more love and devotion for any four legged creature in my life. She is just absolutely fantastic, I doubt I will ever go back to Springers again, she is loyal and gentle and sensible and really wants to please.

When she arrived, looking not so Furious as her name..

Taking the training slowly and trying to keep things as fun and interesting for her as possible, but so far I'm pleased as punch :)

It's coming up to the anniversary of a year since we said goodbye to our wonderful golden retriever! We had 15 wonderful, fun filled years with her and we miss her every day.

Super, super dogs and you are blessed, your girl looks just gorgeous, it makes me smile to see her happy face. you are indeed very lucky to have her in your life.

Hilarious selfie! She's looking at you like she's thinking 'Just wtf are you doing?!'

She's not changed from the cuteness of a puppy, she's still ridiculously cute!

I'm appalled at you, RTE, though, saying you won't go back to springers! I know an old ex gamekeeper in Wales and he gets a springer and a retriever pup six months apart each time. :)

Thank you. Mahogany bay - I'm
Really sorry to hear of your loss. My little terrier disappeared last year and I miss her every day - dogs just get under your skin.

Ester - in this case, yes, absolutely spot on I couldn't have made a decision half as good. Best decision ever, I just love her to pieces. I'm the odd one that sits on the floor for snuggles ALL the time :)

Happy Birthday Fury. Retrievers are wonderful, my flatcoat's best friend is a goldie.
So pleased you are enjoying her so much, I remember the heartbreaking thread when your terrier went missing.

Great pics, and she is stunning. Rosie my Retriever was the most incredible dog, brilliant with the children, loyal, hysterical, obedient ..... I miss her still but have some wonderful memories.
More pics if possible please! Xx
