Well i have probably got the world record for the SHORTEST amount of time being a horsebox owner

Paid deposit for box at half 4 and cancelled cheque at half ten

Wont say why incase it gets classed as defamatory other than to say PLEASE do HPI checks on horseboxes BEFORE paying deposit........

Oh no thats really sad! I too would have been so excited! I'm sure there are many other boxes- Just out of interest does it cost much to do a HPI check? Hope you find a lovely shiney new box soon (untill then think of the interest building up in your account!)

It was a private sale , fella seemed really nice too, i feel so cheated!!!! I think he had only found out today also about the "discrepancy" but he never mentioned it even when HPI check was mentioned.

we drove 2 hours there and 2 hours back so am really mad!!

Sorry HPI is a vehicle check, cost a FIVER on the RAC website. It checks the vehicle history, whether it has outstanding finance and if it has been checked before you can see milage discepancies

oh dear - what a bummer and obviously better to find out now , just think what may have happened had the sale completed ! there are plenty of other lorries out there - just out of interest what is your budget as i know of plenty of reputable horsebox builders who may be able to either build one for you to your budget or they may have something super and second hand in stock.
