My Quest - questions

I need some more help please!
I have been looking at MyQuest through BD and it seems perfect, i want to aim for something in the end and like the idea of qualifying and gaining points :)
Is there a myQuest starting point? ie does it run in sections throughout the year? when does it restart?
Do you have to go to every date?
Would i be in the bronze section having never competed at BD before?
Also it says the dress code is relaxed, just had a quick look at the rules and says basically anything smart goes - so does that mean i could wear a smart polo top, light jods, colored saddle cloth and plait if i want too? or does everyone wear jackets and stocks?

Runs though the summer. What you suggest to wear sounds fine. Most wear jackets, but I didn't. Your best 5 scores count. So only need to do 5, but if you have a rubbish day can do another to get the scores up. If your horse and you have never done it will be bronze.

I didn't have a good experience with it, but being the first year it was run, it might be better next year.
 
Starts in Feb and final qualifying is end of Aug. Regionals run in Sept and then finals in Oct. You can only do TQ or MQ if you are eligible for bronze sections up to elementary.

Dress code is relaxed - my team competes in comp whites and then customised polos/waistcoasts - but people do wear competition gear.

Normal BD runs throughout the year with the qualifying periods for Area Festivals (1st Dec - closing date of AF) and the winter and summer regionals. We're in winter qualifying time now :)
