Sunday 7.20am - I wake up in a panic as I was ment to be up at 5.00am for the 4.5hour trek up to Grantham, silly me set my alarm but forgot to take my phone off silent! So after picking my friend up, we floor it to the yard hoping to make up some lost time. Me and friend puts the horses out, bungs all my stuff in the land rover and gets Tilly loaded (Thank god she loads herself or we could have been there ages!) So after 3.5 hours im getting anxious that we are going to miss the in-hand class and sure enough we did. So I was determined to get there for the ridden!
When we eventually reached Arena UK, after asking several people in Grantham where the hell it was because there were no sign posts
. Pulled Tilly off the trailer and she had pooed all down her legs!! Despite my best efforts we had to get in the ring, so we ended up going in with poo all over her legs and her feathers werent properly dried! so all surface stuck to them making them brown!
Anyhow we went into the collecting ring after a quick warm up, and my god were there some nice horses in my class! There were 22 altogether, it was manic, and soo hot in the indoor arena as we were made to all go around together! Tilly went like a dream, really relaxed and she took everything in her stride! Our display was abit rushed but I think that was my fault for subconsiously wanting to get it over with but my god was it a buzz! Never since I have been showing have I felt anything like that, I was just proud to have qualified to be there with my own pony who a few months ago was a happy hack and the occasional drive. We unfortunately didnt get placed but I didnt care, I loved every second of it so for me that was a prize itself as lately ive been wanting to jack the showing in as its just not what I enjoy doing. After sorting Tilly out I went and had a nose around the other rings, where I came across Inkys trailer, but no sign of Stinkbomb and Inky! There were loads of mini's I did look around but I couldnt see him... Stinkbomb if you have any photos please post so I know what you were dressed in as I could have spotted you!
All in all a fanastic day! I enjoyed it so much! Im just waiting for the pro pics to be posted on website
