just a few pics of my 14hh cob lucky who iv had 3 weeks now shes settled in great and is goiing nicely, shes 6yrs old, does anyone think shes on the tubby side?

Yes, Slightly on the tubby side I'd say...but just looks like the sort that once in full work will 'trim up' quite nicely and lose it quickly :)
 
shes currently out with my other cob but has no hard feed at all being bought on slowly due to a old tendon injury about 4-5 half hour hacks a week in a walk i will introduce some trotting from next week so im hoping once shes being worked more she will lose some she only has to look at a blade of grass to put weight on,
 
She is so pretty! Would say that she is on the larger size. Is that her turn out field in the top pic? My piggy would be a fatty on that, perhaps try cutting down her grazing? I sometimes wonder if mine is capable of photosynthesis as she puts on weight at the drop of a hat!! Good that she hasn't worried weight off with her move, how exciting ot have had her so recently, have a wonderful time with her!!
 
Ah she is v sweet! Yes she is a little porky but not obese. Just slowly increase her work like you said and i'm sure she will tone up,think it's a ? of that rather than losing weight. My younger welsh d came to me in Nov 09 very fat and once he started walking out etc he soon muscled up. He is in a field similar to yours but at the moment he is ridden 6 out of 7 days and has a handful of chaff and a vitamin supplement and thats it,he has lost weight and is v near perfect size currently so want to keep him that way as in winter he did drop off more than i would of liked but at the time he was only on loan with a view to buy and they insisted in the depths of 12 inches of snow he didn't need a rug,bless him. I did in the end put a rain sheet on him and even that helped a little to keep the wet out. Good luck with her and do post piccie updates :)
 
She looks rather like the first gypsy mare I had. Has she had foals as this won't help the tummy look? If she came from gypsies, she could have had two or three by now.

She looks more out of shape than overweight and this can easily be toned up. Jemima took time, but in the end was nice and trim with no wobbly bits, she was ten when we got her and the vet reckoned that she had probably had six/seven foals.
 
Yes, very much on the tubby side. very nice though, you must be so happy:D
 
Congrats on the new horse, I think she's absolutely beautiful and has such a kind face - very much reminds me of my old loan pony.

If she were mine I would stick a grazing muzzle on her during the day and if possible work her every day (even if it's only a plod round the block).
 
shes from the animal sanctuary just had her 3 weeks now and loving every minute, shes on the field in the picture for about 5 hours a day the rest is in a field with not much grass at all, i cant work her too hard at the minute as shes has had a tendon injury so is just coming back in to work, shes getting out at least 4-5 times a week for half a hour at a steady to fast walk but will hopefully increase that in next few weeks so hoping it should turn to muscle and i can start to do some schooling with her, Theresa_F as far as i know she hasnt had any foals she spent her life out on loan from the sanctuary, thank you for all your comments i will keep posting on her new found figure when she has a waistline,
 
shes the first real gypsy cob iv owned, if she loses a little tones up but keeps the apple bum is that about right? having a real dimwit moment here mmm
 
Yep :) She could still be fit like the ones posted above but the applebum should remain :)

I like her. Alot, I love her face and eye :)

Thanks! He's a bit hench bless him, getting there gradually! Only been in full work for 2 or 3 months now so he's had a little culture shock I think bless him! Fittest horse on the yard though scarily enough, he'll go all day if you asked him without working up a puff! He loves work, more the better!! :) I wish wish wish he was entire though :( Such a shame!!!

no she has got full feathers but the people at sanctuary decided they wanted to cut em off so they are slowly coming back now, lucky is the same sfter half hour walking she thinks shes just warming up but dont want to push her too much until her leg is a lot stronger shes been in light work for 3 weeks before that not really used for a year as woman who had her was scared of her, shes very green in traffic so needs a lot of work in that but has the sweetest nature on the ground ever Storminateacup she had just had a bath i caught her on camera just before she rolled i have 4 greys so you can imagine the mud i have t, get off every day
 
I think she's really lovely, a little overweight but nothing to worry about.
Once in proper work it will come off naturally.
Good luck with her.......oh and 4 greys? You must be barking mad or really really love greys, your shampoo bill must be a shocker lol x
