my son carrying the olympic flame sorry not in NL

That's amazing:) You must be an immensely proud Mum, what a massive crowd ! It sounds like there was a real party atmosphere too.
Is it ok to ask how was your Son chosen to carry the torch?

Thank you, yes I am more proud than anyone can imagine. We all had a wonderful day, as you say it was a huge party!

He was chosen for his charity work in the community, he set up Penkridge and district community first responders, while also being a SGT in the police specials, works part time for the ambulance service as a Tech. All while holding down a full time job working as a senior training manager for a company that looks after people with brain injuries. oh and now he is running a scheme to put as many defibrillators in the area as possible which includes training people to use them..

I joke with him about his only free time being between 1am and 7 am, and that is monday to friday cos he is either out with the ambulance or the police on weekends. I honestly don't know how he does ALL of it and STILL visits me at least once EVERY week:D:D

I remember your excited thread when you found out he'd been picked! I'm not surprised you were proud, what a wonderful son you have raised :)

What an outstanding and remarkable son you have raised. I'm so pleased he got the recognition he so clearly deserves. What a wonderful day for you and your family, one you'll never ever forget:):)
