Well finally I learnt how to post pickies and managed to take a photo of my English Springer pup, off today to have his second injections and be microchipped so he won't enjoy that much.
He is a big coward and runs away and hides behind me if something frightens him so I don't think he'll make a gundog like his new 4 year old sister. But he's amazingly quick to learn and I think you'll agree a very cute face.

Aww cute!!

The cowardness will stop - my Ridgeback was exactly the same... he is getting MUCH braver now (at 27 weeks) but still has teh 'muuuuummmmy' moments!! Big wimp!!

the more they get out socialising and seeing things the better!!

SO CUTE!!

How gorgeous???? My dobe baby does like to hide behind his mum when things are a bit new! Hes loves spaniels though! He has a little lady spaniel friend at obedience class who goes to the same ringcraft class too. they luuuuurrve each other, when they get together theres is no obedience to be found!

AWWW I absolutely adore springers, they make such excellent dogs. I slipped up and started looking at the springer rescue site the other day - fatal! as soon as i buy a house, they'll be another springer i'm sure!
Is it me, or don't you see many springers about, or i think maybe they're just not as popular as labs/collies etc so don't get as much coverage.

I see loads of springers where we are but then in Derbshire gundog trials are popular. According to the KC list, springers are the 3rd most popular dog in the UK !!!

wow, what a handsome boy,
i have a springer too, love to see pictures of them on here. he has the most amazing eyes. how old is he? whats his name?

His name is Jack he's four months old and just a little star. He met my horse for the first time and was not impressed with the big puffing nosey thing, I was amazed at how gentle Wills was with him as he is extremely jealous with other horses but really seemed to like Jack. Sadly my older Springer hates Wills as he chased her out of his field when he was a colt, it's such a shame as me and Wills mum would hack for miles with Saffy at our side.
Jack was very brave at the vet and didn't even sqeak when he had his microchip put in!!

He's such a cutie!

My uncles Lab Tina was terrified of loud noises etc as a pup, however he worked her through it (and her inability to swim) and now he is one of the best gundogs he has worked. People are constantly offering him money for her (much more than she's worth, her breeding isn't great) or wanting pups off her.

Oh wow he is spectcular!!! I've got 3 and they really are just the best!!! Good luck i'm sure you'll have loads of fun together!!
