my stupid mare managed to break my toes tonight!!!!!!!

as the title says really, she was in a crap mood, i was picking out her back foot... she spooked literally cat jumped in the air and landed on my toes! result: a few broken toes, can only wear one shoe, on crutches for a week and PAINKILLERS! its surprisingly sore for toes! im just wondering how the hell im ment to go to the stables in the morn as im on a private DIY yard!

Ouch and ouch, i know how you feel. Mae broke a bone in my foot when she panicked one day in the stable due to a mouse. She jumped too and landed full force on my foot.

Luckily hubby was able to do the horses. Is there no one at the yard that would do it for you and you return the favour when your ok again??

My delightful thug of a horse threw a strop coming in the night before last and stomped on my toe

I'm just assuming it is broken as it's black and hurts

It should be used to it as that one always gets stomped on

Hope your toes heal quickly, keep taking the painkillers and give that horsey of yours a stern talking to

OUCH! Poor you!

My first horse broke my foot as well! Was trying to get him to stand still to have his photo taken for his stud card - he got more and more fed up with this (standing still was never his strong point) and eventually went straight up and then came down on my foot.

I was stupidly only wearing trainers, cos I'd been trotting him up for some visitors earlier and couldn't run properly in my riding boots.
